Welcome Baby

 

The nursing staff at Greenbelt Home Care in Eldora are proud sponsors of the Welcome Baby Program.  Welcome Baby is a FREE service to all new mothers in Hardin County.  This program was devised to help all new mothers with any questions they might have once they bring their baby home.  The Welcome Baby Program provides:

  • Free in home visits from a Greenbelt Home Care Maternal Health Nurse
     
  • Nurse will assess the health of the mother and baby.
     
  • Nurse will weigh your baby
     
  • Nurse certified as a Lactation Consultant  will assist with breastfeeding education.  A breast feeding support group meets monthly.
     
  • Information on programs that provide financial assistance, lead screenings, and immunizations
     
  • All moms will receive a Welcome Baby gift.
     
  • Resources and referrals to other agencies and providers in the Hardin County area, and around the state of Iowa.
